This term is always a busy one. And the 2026 version didn’t disappoint!
My annual January trip to Worcestershire was as marvellous as ever and the three days in Redditch were busy but brilliant. It’s been a joy to build strong links in the area and I am already looking forward to returning in 2027.
The rest of my events were back up in the North West. A mixture of new schools and regular stops made for a lively few months, even though a pesky eye problem tried to derail my events (apologies again to the affected schools!) Despite my dodgy eye, I still visited schools in Didsbury, Orrell, Blackpool, Preston, Salford, Wigan, Leyland, Euxton, Singleton, Penwortham, Warrington and Blackburn. I have honestly lost count of how many workshops I delivered, stories I told and kids I met, but I know I had the best time ever!
Library gigs also featured during this term. I performed stories at Freckleton and Ansdell and teamed up with Wendy from Daresbury Library for a science story session at Aspull in Wigan. I also worked with Oldham Libraries filming for the amazing ‘Author Sparks’ programme, which I am thrilled to be part of. Always a joy to spend time in our lovely libraries.
Massive thanks to everyone who invited me along or booked me for an event. The support and opportunities I receive is genuinly overwhelming and I appreciate it massively.
