This term will stick in my mind for two reasons: loads of school events and multiple heatwaves!! A scorcher on both fronts.
The school visit trail took me to East Lancs, Manchester, Warrington, Wigan, Blackpool, Preston, Widnes, Bolton, Leyland, Fleetwood and Clitheroe. It was a magical mystery tour featuring writing workshops, appearances at Lit Fests, loads of story performances and so much more. Some schools were like revisiting old friends, whilst others were first-time stops, which are always special.
Massive thanks to everyone who booked me to visit (and didn’t take offence at my pale legs – shorts were essential most of this term!) Big shout and thanks to those who have passed on my details and shared what I do – word of mouth promotion means the world.
Loads of gigs, but limited photos this term. Always think it shows how much fun we had that pics were limited! I’ve got a few public gigs over the summer then I’ll be back out from September.
