It had been a year to the day since I last visited these schools, so I was excited about returning.
The morning saw a trip to St John Southworth RC Primary, Nelson. I looked back over the last five years during the assembly, before introducing the children to Eric’s latest adventure. They heard about the writing and editing process, plus the illustrative steps taken by Martin. I couldn’t visit without sharing an Impossible Tale to finish the session. A fabulous forty minutes!
Before I left, I signed some books and we snapped some photos.
The afternoon featured a visit to a school close by – St James’ Lanehead Primary. It was lovely to hear the children were excited when I arrived. This was my fifth visit to the school and I always love my time there. The session was part of the school’s ‘Family Friday’ events and it was great to see lots af parents/carers in attendance. The assembly and signing went really well and I had a wonderful afternoon.
Big thanks must go to Mrs Scott and Mrs Gregory for organising the visits and promoting the signings.
