2020 kicked off with a busy first half-term! I visited ten primaries and two libraries across the North West, delivering storytelling sessions and writing workshops. Highlights included a first-time visit to Wigan when I shared stories at Standish library as part of National Storytelling Week – what a treat that was! Hopefully I’ll get to return to the area again in the future.
The second half of the term began in fine style with four visits to Lytham CE Primary where I worked with every year group in KS2, looking at writing and editing skills. World Book Day turned into a non-stop blur of visits stopping off at eleven schools including visits in Salford, Rivington, Altrincham, Burnley, Rawtenstall, Fleetwood and Blackpool. It was exhausting, but exhilarating too.
I would like to say a big thanks to everyone who has supported me and helped to organise events the events this term. I’ve had an absolute blast and I hope the kids have too. Check out some of the photos below for a taste of the story action.
