Wow! What an amazing day we had when Dan visited Holy Family, Blackpool. The children were really fired up from the start and Dan’s writing workshops resulted in some wonderful writing. You never appreciate what’s on your own doorstep and this is certainly true of Dan. As a local author, Dan really appealed to the children. His book signing session was a real treat. Thanks Dan and can’t wait until you’re back!

Dan consistently delivers gripping and imaginative stories for our young library members. I’ve rarely met a storyteller who can capture the imagination of young people the way he can. We regularly have requests from youngsters and parents alike for more visits from Dan.

During Dan’s visit to Clifton, he gave a real insight into the life of the author and the process of writing a first draft right through to publishing a finished article. The children were really inspired by Dan, to follow their dreams and pursue their goals. The children also loved it when Dan read some extracts from his book. They particularly liked ‘Blown Away’. Thanks Dan!

Epic, inspirational and awesome’ were just some of the words from the children following Dan’s visit to our school. Dan motivated and inspired all ages and abilities to put pen to paper and left us all believing that ‘nothing is impossible’. He captivated us with his storytelling, taking us all on a literary journey that played with our emotions and left us wanting more. A must! A superb experience for children and adults alike.
Julie Russel, Garstang Community Primary School
Dan was simply an inspiration to our children at Christ Church. Not only had he battled the snowy elements to make it to our school, but his down-to-earth storytelling session left the children with a feeling of self-belief and self-confidence that they too could be writers! There was a real buzz around school when ‘Impossible Tales’ arrived and staff and children were chomping at the bit to read it! Well done Dan!
Cathy Malley, Christ Church C.E. Primary School, Leigh

The children of Stanah Primary School were fortunate enough to have a visit from Dan Worsley, children’s author and former Blackpool teacher. They were fascinated by Dan’s engaging description of his journey from the planning, writing and editing stages to finally becoming a published author and thoroughly entertained by the excerpts he read. The children and teachers really enjoyed the visit and were inspired by Dan’s enthusiasm and approach to writing.

Fran Bird – Deputy Head teacher, Stanah Primary School, Thornton-Cleveleys

A fantastic hour for our 4 – 11 year olds, who sat mesmerised when listening about the process of writing and getting work published; but also engrossed by Dan’s entertaining storytelling to finish the session. We can’t wait for another book!

Michelle Gaydon – Headteacher, Archbishop Hutton’s Primary School, Carnforth

Dan’s visit to our school was inspirational! The children were enthralled and excited about meeting an author and having their book signed. Most importantly Dan left the children with an important message clear in their minds – ‘reach for your dreams, work hard and never give up’.  I would highly recommend a visit from Dan, you’ll love it!
Emma Cholmondeley, St Cuthbert’s Academy, Blackpool

Dan wowed the children with his Impossible Tales. His inimitable style, of both real-life and fictional storytelling, kept the children completely engaged and entertained the whole time.

Anne Charlesworth, St Mary Magdalen’s Catholic Primary School, Penwortham

Dan delivered a course of writing sessions to groups of our most able writers from both Upper and Lower Key Stage Two. He also worked with all of our Year 6 pupils. The children were inspired by Dan and the impact of the writing workshops was very evident by the increase in the writing levels and the engagement in their writing. Having been a primary school teacher for many years, Dan was able to pitch his sessions at exactly the right level to move each and every child on with their writing. It was also excellent CPD for myself because I Iearnt a great deal from Dan and now this is having an impact on my own class.
Sarah Akin, Boundary Primary School, Blackpool
Dan is a fantastic storyteller and author! He engages with the kids and scoops them up into his stories and tales. At Moor Park Library, we had the pleasure of Dan launching his book, ‘Impossible Tales!’ to an enthralled audience, as part of National Libraries Day 2015. It was a pleasure to see his enthusiasm and excitement about his book and being an author; feelings which soon captivated the children who clamoured to buy signed copies.
