It’s always extra special to visit a school for the first time, so I couldn’t wait to visit St Leonard’s.
The morning kicked off with a whole school assembly. I explained to the children how I wrote my first book aged ten right through to the publication of the latest Eric Appleby adventure. I even put on the storytelling waistcoat to perform one of the Tales. The children were just fantastic and it was a fast-paced, fabulous forty-minute session.
Next up, I visited four classes for more storytelling action. It was great to visit Year 1, 2 and 3 and before I knew it the lunchtime bell rang and my morning had ended. Check out the storytelling throne!
Thanks must go to Mrs McMahon for organising the morning and the accompanying book signing. I had a cracking morning and hopefully I’ll get a chance to return at some point in the future.
…lovely bit of feedback for ‘Pat On The Head’
