The half term ended with two more Danger Zone assemblies.
First up was a trip to Clifton Primary in St Annes. It was my fourth visit to the school and it’s always a lovely place where I’m made to feel very welcome. The children listened beautifully as I talked them through the various drafts of Danger Zone. Martin’s illustrations looked ace on the big screen and the children even got to hear an Impossible Tale to finish the session. A fantastic morning!
The final trip of the half term was to Stanley Primary. I’ve visited each year when a new book has launched and the children are always fabulous. It was a joy to share Eric’s new adventure with over 300 of the KS2 children. The pupils listened attentively and it was fab to chat to a few of them afterwards and hear their thoughts on the new book.
Thank you to Mrs Legge and Mrs Murphy for organising the sessions and helping to promote the accompanying book signings. I had a top time at both schools!
