It’s always lovely to put some library events in the diary. The first couple of visits during the summer holidays included sessions at two Lancashire libraries: Poulton and Fleetwood.
Poulton Library was first up and a sizeable audience turned up to hear some stories. I shared three stories, two Impossible Tales and a traditional tale that I love to tell. My stories featured a wig with a life of its own and a terrible situation involving cow pats. The children and their adults listened amazingly well for the duration of the 50 minute session. Afterwards, it was lovely to sign some books and get some photos with the children. A top afternoon!
I had only visited Fleetwood Library once previously and lots of people turned up. My second visit didn’t disappoint with well over 40 children coming along! I stuck with the same stories from the previous visit and they were received really well. The session finished with a signing and more photos, which was really lovely.
I’d like to thank Ian and Helen from Lancashire libraries for promoting and organising the events so effectively. I loved my time at Poulton and Fleetwood and can’t wait to return with some more stories.
