July was a hectic month!
It started with an afternoon of storytelling at the Wordpool Family Day. I put on the storytelling waistcoat and shared stories with lots of fantastic children.
It was lovely to return to Medlar-with-Wesham C of E Primary, Kirkham to write with Year 5 and Year 6. The children created some brilliant character descriptions during a great morning of writing.
I returned to All Saints C of E Primary in Chorley to write with Year 3 and Year 4. The children worked extremely well and I loved every minute of my time with them.
It’s always nice to visit a high school and I had a fabulous afternoon at Cardinal Allen, Fleetwood, where I shared my writing journey with the 175 Year 7 pupils. A cracking afternoon!
It was great to return to St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary, Blackpool, to introduce Eric Appleby to the pupils during an author assembly. I had a fantastic morning.
I had visited St James’ Lanehead Primary, Burnley, earlier in the year so it was lovely to return to write with some of the pupils. The children in Year 5 produced some brilliant pieces of writing and were a joy to work with.
When I received an invitation to tell some stories at the SpareParts Festival in Fleetwood I jumped at the chance. I teamed up with the Save Our Stories team from Blackpool libraries and had a brilliant afternoon sharing stories inside the Rescue Ship!
The final school event of the year was at Marton Academy, Blackpool. I had the pleasure of sharing stories with the Foundation Stage children. We had a great afternoon!
